India’s satellite, Oceansat-2, will enhance the ocean monitoring capabilities of the original Oceansat, which launched in 1999, while the other satellites carries a university-funded payload designed to conduct research on various new technologies.
If you are really addicted of taking images of Earth from the near edge of space, well no problem it’s simple!. MIT students recently invented a way of taking photo’s of earth in a very low cost i.e for $150. MIT students designed a low-budget balloon that did not require the use of expensive equipment such as radio modems or complicated hardware. The main hardware which they used were a Motorola i290 phone with GPS, a cell phone charger and disposable hand warmers to keep everything operable at the cold high altitudes, along with them they also used daily used things like Styrofoam, newspaper, duct tape and zip ties.
Most of us don’t know the effects of the climate on our daily life, and especially on the polar regions of the Earth. No matter where you live, the snow and ice of the Earth’s cryosphere have an impact on the climate. Due to the recent changes in the climate, and global warming, NASA has released this video in the hopes that it will spread awareness among the people about the dangers of our changing climate and the results of the increasing global warming which none of us are fully familiar with. These changes in the cryosphere have had a major impact on the global climate, as the Crysophere is interconnected with the other parts of the Earth’s system. Thus, this is very alarming that the polar ice sheets are gradually shrinking and, hence, increasing the climatic temperatures around the globe.
