The Supernova

While searching the skies for black holes using NASA’s Spitzer Space Telescope, astronomers discovered a giant supernova that was smothered in its own dust. In this artist’s rendering, an outer shell of gas and dust — which erupted from the star hundreds of years ago — obscures the supernova within. This event in a distant galaxy hints at one possible future for the brightest star system in our own Milky Way.

Kepler Detects First Earth Like PLanet

Recently NASA’s space probe Kepler has confirmed the sighting of an exo planet far beyond our solar system. It’s the first ever planet to be found by Kepler and the first small planet studied far beyond our solar system and is named Kepler-10b which is 1.4 times the size of the Earth.

Flight Diverted Due To Coffee Spill

Many flights are diverted because of serious issues like bad weather technical faults or due to some on board medical situation. But this time a unique incident caused a flight to divert and that is due to COFFEE SPILL. Interesting but weird, the pilot of the aircraft spilled his coffee on to the plane’s communication’s equipment thus triggering on board emergency alarms.

Spirits View

This mosaic of images shows the soil in front of NASA’s Mars Exploration Rover Spirit after a series of short backward drives during attempts to extricate the rover from a sand trap in January and early February 2010. It is presented in false color to make some differences between materials easier to see. Bright-toned soil was freshly exposed by the rover’s left-front wheel during the drives and can be seen with a “sand wave” shaping that resulted from the unseen wheel’s action.
